About the Project - Celebrating the People, Places, and Stories of Maryland's Eastern Shore
At Hebron Savings Bank, we've always believed that being a community bank means more than providing financial services—it means investing in the communities we call home. For more than a century, we've been proud to support the people, businesses, and organizations that make Maryland's Eastern Shore such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.
Rooted on the Shore is a new community arts initiative that brings that commitment to life in a bold and lasting way.
In partnership with We Are Limitless, an Eastern Shore nonprofit dedicated to public art and mural making, Hebron Savings Bank is transforming several of our ATM locations into vibrant works of public art that celebrate the unique identity of the communities they serve. Each mural will tell a different story—reflecting local history, traditions, landscapes, industries, and the people who have shaped these communities through generations.
No two murals will be alike because no two communities are alike.
The first project begins here in Hebron, where we're inviting residents, customers, local businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders to help inspire the creative process. Before the artists begin designing the mural, we want to hear from the people who know Hebron best. Your ideas, memories, and perspectives will help ensure this mural authentically reflects the character, heritage, and spirit of our hometown.
Public art has the unique ability to bring people together. It creates landmarks, inspires community pride, encourages exploration, and preserves the stories that make each town distinctive. Through Rooted on the Shore, we hope these murals become places where people gather, take photos, share memories, and celebrate what makes the Eastern Shore unlike anywhere else.
